Aurora CO Homes For Sale might service all 50 state now. We still our finger on the pulse of our home town – Aurora, CO.

Everyone enjoys St. Patrick’s Day. The problem is that recently, it has turned into more of an adult drinking holiday. To combat this, the Southland’s shopping area is hosting the 1st annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival.
Designed to be a large, fun filled family event, it will feature jump houses; face painting; live Irish dancers; bagpipers; live music and of course the St. Patrick’s Day parade around the Southlands Town Square.

Of course, you can always end up at McCabe’s Irish Pub & Bistro. It is located in the heart of the town square. Come join in some great Irish beer and some Authentic Irish food for he whole family.
The Festival is this Sunday, March 14th, 2010. It all starts at 11am and will go until 4pm. The parade will start at 12pm sharp, so get a great seat and don’t forget to wear your green!
Do you have children in your life that you love?
If not, would you like children some day?
If the answer to either of these questions is yes, this post is for you.

Welcome to the Children’s Miracle Network drive. If you are familiar with the Children’s Hospitals in your area, then you already know how wonderful of a facility it is. It is the leading researcher for children’s health.
This place is designed for sick kids. No one likes to see an ill child. The Children’s Hospital makes it bearable. Forget about cold wheelchairs and stuffy hallways. Feeling sick is bad enough. When kids come here, it makes getting better fun for them and their families.

I pray that I never need to go there with my children, and I wish the same for you. But, it is comfoting to know that it is here if I do need it.
The Children’s Miracle Network is hosting their yearly fundraiser today and tomorrow. No time to waste.
It doesn’t take much and they don’t ask for much. To be listed as a miracle maker, it takes a phone call and a pledge of only $15 per month (Less than most of our coffee habits). If you can’t do that, you can send a text. It will add $10 to your next bill – 1 time. Every donation will send a gift up to one of the kids rooms as well. Maybe a teddy bear or some flowers to brighten a little one’s day.
So, please take a moment to be thankful for your healthy kids and help those families that are not as lucky as you.

Today is World Cancer Day
The World Health Organization estimates that 84 million people will die from cancer between 2005 and 2015. As someone who lost his Father to cancer, this is a very sobering number.
Every year on February the 4th, the World Health Organization supports the Union Against Cancer to promote the prevention and cure for cancer.
This year the theme is Cancer can be prevented too. So many different illnesses are treated by prevention and immunizations. Cancer doesn’t have a vaccine (someday we hope). But, there are things that you can do with your lifestyle to help greatly reduce your chances of getting cancer.
Bottom line, a healthier lifestyle will greatly reduce your chances of getting cancer. So, today is a great day to evaluate your risks and to start making changes. You can get great information directly from the World Health Organization or by checking with your local centers.
Operation Santa Paws.
While we are celebrating with our family and friends this time of year, we will enjoy plenty to eat and drink. We will give gifts to our loved ones and enjoy the sounds and sights of the Holiday lights and Music.
Even with all of this going on, many of us recognize our blessings and do our best to give to those that are less fortunate than us. We donate our time at the local food bank; donate toys and clothes to families in need. It is a wonderful time of year for all of us to give back. To those that do – THANK YOU, you are making a difference.
There is still one area that is forgotten about around the Holidays. The animals. We all like to give out the cute puppies and kittens as gifts to our little ones. We don’t pay attention to the older pets available to us at your local shelter. There are many wonderful, loving animals in need of a home this season. Help to get them out of the cold and into a loving home.

santa Paws
For those of us who are not in a position to adopt an animal, there is Operation Santa Paws. This is a great nationwide event that helps the local shelters throughout the Holiday season. It runs from December 1st to December 18th. What Operation Santa Paws is doing is helping to give food and toys to the pets living in the shelter. With more supplies available, the shelters are able to keep more pets around and give them food; love and attention.
So, if you are able to extend your helping hand a bit further this year, consider Operation Santa Paws.
Happy Holidays to everyone.
